Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of purchase, unless stated otherwise.

All returned items must be unopened, new, salable condition and include original packaging and all hardware and accessories. 
(Salable condition is in the same condition you received it). Used Items or installed are non-refundable.

Return shipping costs are waived if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item).
Items (except Taruca or W.A.R branded products) that are defective, we will follow the manufacturer's warranty and be in contact with them on your behalf.

If the reason for the return is not a result of our error, shipping costs will not be refunded.
A 20% re-stocking fee will also apply in this case.

If your return an item and received free shipping, the original shipping cost incurred by Taruca will be deducted from your refund.

We highly emphasize that you package the unused product as delivered, to ensure no damage can occur during transit back to our facility.
Items that are returned are fully inspected to determine if all is in order. We reserve the right to refuse the refund if the product is used, installed, damaged, scratched and unsalable. 

If you would like to exchange your items for any other of our products, please return them to us for a refund and place a new order for the product you want at the same time. 

If you need to return an item, please provide us with your order number and the details about the product you would like to return.
We will reach out to you afterwards with further instructions to handle your return process.

Cancellation Policy (Refunding)

You may cancel or modify your order anytime prior to shipment. 

Please note that if your preferred payment type is either by PayPal or Credit card, a 4% processing fee will be charged and deducted from your total refund.

If you purchased using Affirm, a 6% processing fee will be charged and deducted from your total refund.
Affirm is an accepted loan transaction and has a higher than normal transaction fee.

The fees above covers merchant fees that are charged to process your method of payment.

Roof Top Tents

Due to the size and weight of these items, they require special delivery to have it delivered to your door.

Upon arrival, please thoroughly inspect the RTT for any signs of damage during transit. If any signs of damage are found, please reject the item delivery and contact us immediately so that it can be processed as a return.

Once you have accepted the delivery of the RTT, the item is no longer returnable. 

If your RTT has been shipped and you would like to cancel before delivery, we will deduct a 15% flat fee for return and warehouse handling costs.

 

Awnings 


Upon arrival, please thoroughly inspect the Awning for any signs of damage during transit. If any signs of damage are found, please reject the item so that it may be returned to us, Contact us immediately so that it can be processed as a return.

Once you have accepted the delivery of the Awning, it will no longer be possible to claim under Damaged During Transit. 

 

Shipping

Free shipping applies for orders over $300.00 on regular packaged items, some items are excluded from free shipping.

This excludes our Roof Top Tents and Awnings when applicable, unless stated in a promotion. 

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options chosen.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page.
To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Upon delivery, any item that is refused will be considered a return and a refund will be issued (with delivery costs deducted.

 

Damage During Transit Procedure

1) Inspect the product upon arrival and look for signs of damage. 
2) If Damage is found, please inform the driver that the package is to be returned or contact us within 24 hours of receipt.
3) Contact Taruca Support and provide us with detailed information of what has occurred.
4) Please take photos of the damage product for our records so that we can file a claim for insurance purposes.
5) A New product will be shipped after arrival of the damaged product and has passed our inspection. 

**If you have taken delivery of the product and the 24 hour period has elapsed after receipt, it will be automatically considered delivered in good order and the DDT Procedure can no longer be used.

 

Warranty Coverage

2 Year Limited Manufacturer's Warranty. 

Taruca Rooftop Tents and Awnings are not covered by Wind Damage. It is the responsibility of the owner to use the awning under normal weather conditions to ensure that the product is not damaged or damages your vehicle, etc. 

Taruca Rooftop Tents and Awnings are not covered by Freight Damage. We highly recommend that you select our Route coverage at check out to ensure that your product is covered for Freight insurance. 

Taruca Rooftop Tents and Awnings are not covered by improper installation or mounted to accessories that are not designed for the rooftop Tent or Awning. In case you have questions with regard to mounting the awning correctly. feel free to contact us.

To start your warranty claim, please fill in our form including a detailed description and upload photos of the product with the damage in question.
Warranty claims without photos attached will not be accepted and the application will have to be resubmitted.

In the event that your product is indeed a warranty claim and that it can be sent to us for further inspection, we will make the arrangements to have the items collected. If the warranty is accepted, we will replace the item and send it to you at no additional cost.
