The 270+ Darkness is the largest awning in the range, stretching nearly 20 ft in length, with 6.5 ft on the side / 5.2 ft at the rear of shade. It is a new improved awning for vehicles providing quick installation and unparalleled shade area.
The design of the Darkness is focused on the Hinge providing unmatched strength in this category free from poles and ropes. Manufactured from high quality and durable square tube aluminum frame that starts with 2 tubes at the base and running into one.
In the event of adverse weather, we always recommend to have it properly staked down, poles down, and use of the rain tie down points to create a gutter like effect. The use of walls or full enclosures (coming soon) can be used for additional protection.

General Care:
Proper care and maintenance of your Awning (Extreme Range) is essential to ensure its longevity and performance of our products.
To prevent rubbing and damage to the arms and canvas, it is important to properly close and secure the Awning when not in use.
Before closing your Awning, make sure that the canvas is dry and free of any debris. When rolling up the awning, be sure to follow the instructions carefully to avoid any damage to the canvas.
Regular cleaning and inspection of your Awning will also help extend its lifespan - to prevent surface rust on your brackets, we suggest using a lanolin spray. Additionally, using a canvas reproofer spray will enhance the waterproofing capabilities of your Awning to ensure that it is ready for your next adventure!
Warranty:
Our Awnings are made to the highest manufacturing standards of quality and durability.
Therefore, we offer a 24 Month Manufacturing Warranty valid from the date of dispatch from our Warehouse.
Our Warranty does not cover any damage or failure resulting from misuse, abuse, accidental damage, improper installation, acts of nature (such as wind, rain, hail, etc.), or any other cause that is not a result of a defect in materials or manufacturing workmanship.

Extreme Darkness 270
I had the chance to use my awning for the first time over Labor Day weekend on a dove hunt in Central Texas with temps over 100. We had 6 guys taking full advantage of the shade it provided. It provided plenty of space for all of us to take a break from the sun. I highly recommend this awning if you spend any time outdoors and need a break from the weather. One of the legs arrived damaged, but Taruca was quick to send out a replacement. They have great customer service.

Exactly what I needed
I live in Colorado and spend the majority of my free time adventuring in the mountains. Anyone who has been to Colorado knows the weather is crazy. One minute you are baking in the sun and the next you are caught in a sudden downpour of rain. With my Taruca awning, Colorado's weather has finally met it's match. The coverage of the Darkness 270 is massive! It has enough room to accommodate my family underneath plus some friends. The awning sets up and packs away quick and easy. I love the ambience that the built in lights create at night and the fact that you can choose from a couple different tones of white. Build quality is solid and should hopefully last a long time. I also have to give a shout out to the customer service Taruca provides. I've had lots of questions before and after purchasing my awning and have always received fast responses, sometimes even on the weekend. Daniel has been great to work with! If you are in the market for a 270 degree awning, I don't think you can do better then Taruca.

270+ Darkness Awning
Looking for that perfect awning? You found it with this one. The build quality is excellent. To be so structural and yet maintain a light weight awning is impressive. I have had this awning deployed in windy condition. Drop down a few poles and ropes if the wind is high enough and worry no more! The deployment on this is amazing. Its a matter of minutes to set this up. Take down is just as easy and setup. I love having an awning that is self supporting enough to not need all the poles down in normal conditions to free up the space at camp. Add to this the fact that you have lighting built into the awning. The white light for when you need more camp light is great, but when its time to sit down and enjoy being outside you simply change the light to amber and the atmosphere is great. I have this awning installed on my Expedition Trailer Offtrax Feenix. This awning took an already amazing trailer and made it even better and more functional for overlanding. Cant recommend this awning enough.

Darkness 270+ Awning
Looked at awnings for my ambulance for a while wanting something both strong yet light due to the height of my vehicle. This awning meets both of those requirements. It covers a lot of ground creating a great usable space outside. Looking forward to using it this camping season.

Amazing quality awning!
I’ve been using the Taruca Darkness 270 on my Jeep Wrangler for several months now and it has exceeded my expectations. I’ve had various different awnings over the years and this is my favorite. Excellent coverage, built in lights, lightweight for a 270 awning and the build quality is fantastic. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for an awning for their rig!
