General Care:
Proper care and maintenance of your Awning (Extreme Range) is essential to ensure its longevity and performance of our products.
To prevent rubbing and damage to the arms and canvas, it is important to properly close and secure the Awning when not in use.
Before closing your Awning, make sure that the canvas is dry and free of any debris. When rolling up the awning, be sure to follow the instructions carefully to avoid any damage to the canvas.
Regular cleaning and inspection of your Awning will also help extend its lifespan - to prevent surface rust on your brackets, we suggest using a lanolin spray. Additionally, using a canvas reproofer spray will enhance the waterproofing capabilities of your Awning to ensure that it is ready for your next adventure!

Pretty Amazing
I was tired of having a pole supported awning and it truely was a chore to setup. It got to the point that I wasn't deploying my awning anymore due the hassel of getting it setup. I looked at several version of the 270 and Taruca has figured it all out. The stability and strength to hold it's own weight even in extreme weather is what sold me. The material is definitely much more superior that the standard ripstop and makes it easily 10-15 degrees cooler when in the hot sun. The amount of shade provided is huge and covers all the essentials area when out in the elements. I'm highly recommending this awning over others. Hardware is excellent and very beefy.

Awning
Great shade performed well until Mother Nature sneezed real heavy at 8k on the Mesa. Guess I was pushing my luck lol. Tweeked a vertical and sheared 2 of the rear trusses. My fix will be to add a 2" aluminum slug inside the truss ends and weld all (4) sides of tubing. Everyone at camp enjoyed the amount of shade given (until the incident, lol), I have it mounted on a Sprinter.

Darkness 270+ Awning
I originally saw this awning at an off-road event and chatted with them for a bit about the overall strength of the awning whilst freestanding. I have to admit, I was skeptical that this would work with our van that stands at 10ft high. I was instantly sold when the Taruca rep proceeded to do a few pull-ups from the hinge area of the awning! Strength and coverage is what we love about this awning!
